Ribbon Sports is the name it all started with, it changed to
Nike in 1978 and the Nike Swoosh was originally created for just
$35. We all know the story, and I'm not going to explain
everything here, there's something called Wikepedia
for that stuff.
We
all know shoes like Dunks were the shit in the 70's. They even
wore them in Back to the Future. Wooho.
Well,
Skateboarding was (all of a sudden) very populair a few years
ago and Nike started Nike Skateboarding. Everyone first found
them commercial rats screwing up skateboarding and just trying
to get their part out of it. And yeah, it's true, but come on,
they DO make one of the dopest skateshoes on the market. Not
just for skaters, but the shoes are very populair in the
streetwear/ urban/ hiphop-culture (if I'm allowed to give it a
name, don't hate).
