INTRODUCTION
Jean René Lacoste
(July 2, 1904 - October 12, 1996) was a famous French tennis player and businessman, nicknamed "the
Crocodile" or "the Alligator" by fans, because of his pugnacity on
court; he is now mostly known as being the namesake of the Lacoste tennis shirt, which he introduced in 1929.
So
as you can see Lacoste was a brand set up by a tennis player,
just like (e.g) Bjorn Borg did.
Lacoste
is well known for it's polo shirts and are being worn by all
types of groups. (Rich) people trying to look neat, tennis
players, people from the hiphop scene etc.
