ROFCHECK - Just cause fake sucks!

This is the first thing to look at. If you're looking for a new BBC/Icecream hoodie and the price seems to be too good to be true, STAY AWAY! If you see a new BBC/Icecream T-shirt for $40 or a hoody for $150, stay away! Impossible! Most real hoodies start at around $300, and then I'm talking about the cheap ones!

#2 Sellers Other Items/ Feedback

This is for the people that want to buy stuff from sites like eBay. If you see a T-shirt that looks alright, check his other items. Most of the times these fake sellers, sell loads of fake goods, with again, prices that are too good to be true. Also check their feedback. It's better to only check the NEGATIVE ones. If there's loads of negative feedback saying his/her stuff isn't authentic, leave it! But don't use it as only reason to convince yourself on buying or not!

#3 The Item Itself

What about the item itself? Is it one of those hoodies you see on eBay 1000 times, for a low price? This means it's being faked a lot and the chance is big the auction your looking at is fake as well. Check step 1 and 2. The most faked BBC/Icecream item is probably the well-known Diamonds and Dollars hoodie.

#4 Sizechart

Some fake sellers post a sizechart with their auction. Most of the times these T-shirts have a size of 32" neck to bottom for a Medium while it should be around 24" on real BBC/Icecream. Some of these sellers also sell BBC/Icecream items in size XXXL, XXXXL or even higher, while these never get produced by BBC/Icecream! Always check the size chart on the BBC site and compare the measurements!

#5 Print & Shirt

BBC/Icecream often uses very bright and special colours. For example, they sometimes use a very striking tint of pink and green in their shirts. This seems to be "rare" or "expensive" for some reason as all the fake prints seems to have a misty/ grubby colour.

#6 SPEAK UP!

If an auction is unclear to you, speak up! Ask for pictures and information. This way you can find out whether this guy knows something about it or not. Always ask pictures of tags, bag and maybe a picture of the zipper.

So if you're unsure about an item, always ask!

#7 Payment

People who don't give a sh!t about their customers usually don't accept payments by PayPal. They ask you to pay via MoneyBookers or WesternUnion. Once again, this point is not one to use as only reason not to buy a product. Check the other points as well!

The tags and bag that come with the shirt tells a lot! Check the other points of this chapter to read all about it!

Neck Tag

Always check the neck tags before buying a BBC/Icecream item. The BBC/Icecream come with the tag as seen below. It's a nice, clear print.

I finally got around to get a fake BBC/Icecream shirt that had a neck tag that wasn't that bad, compared to the real one. However, as you can see on the 2 images below, it still sucks bad.

Let's take a look at the fake ones. First the top one. Might be a little hard to see but the tag has silver letters and it's kind of "stitched" instead of printed. You can also see another tag behind the black tag, namely a white rectangle with some crap on it.

Then the second fake tag. You can see how poorly it is printed.. very vague, and totally misplaced. I think that one is pretty clear.

Product Tags/ Cards

Some BBC/Icecream products you buy might come with tags as well. The picture below is a clear example of how it SHOULDN'T look!

A lot of Fake BBC clothes come with this, small and wrong tag.

Some don't even come with tags, but others come with DAMN good fake tags. I've finally gathered around some real and fake ones and I have made pictures of them for you to compare. I understand that it will be very hard to compare these when you're about to buy an BBC/Icecream item. If it's the last thing you need to know to see if it's real or fake.. try asking for detailed pics of the tag.

It's espacially the colours (and the fonts) that differ. Also, the holes made through the fake ones seem to be smaller.

The sticker put on the real tag is of course just an example.. they're not all Item # T-014 and gray etc..

The fake one is shorter.
